About Me

With over 20 years of experience as a qualified primary teacher, I bring a wealth of knowledge and understanding to every Yogabuds kids’ yoga session. My journey has led me to combine my passion for education with my love for yoga, mindfulness, and the natural world.

As a qualified children's yoga teacher, trauma-informed practitioner, and forest school specialist, I create sessions that nurture both body and mind in a safe, supportive environment. I hold a full DBS check and am paediatric first aid trained, ensuring your child's wellbeing is always my top priority.

The Yogabuds Experience

At Yogabuds, we believe every child deserves a space to connect with themselves and the natural world around them. Our nurturing, nature-inspired yoga classes invite children on a mindful journey of discovery, where imagination meets movement.

Each session is thoughtfully designed to balance energetic fun with moments of calm reflection. Children are encouraged to bring their favourite teddy or cuddly toy to join as their personal "Yogabuddy" – a special friend to share their journey and sometimes participate in the poses too!

What Makes Yogabuds Special

Our themed sessions focus on exploring emotions and qualities like friendship, courage, or kindness through storytelling and playful movement. Each class incorporates:

  • Engaging yoga poses inspired by animals, trees, and natural wonders

  • Age-appropriate breathwork techniques that children can use anytime they need calm

  • Mindfulness practices that enhance focus and awareness

  • Creative activities that reinforce the session's theme

  • Gentle relaxation time to integrate the experience

  • A healthy, nourishing snack to refuel growing bodies

I provide all necessary equipment, creating a hassle-free experience for parents and a fully immersive environment for children.

My Teaching Approach

Every child is unique, and my extensive background in education allows me to adapt each session to meet individual and group needs. My flexible teaching style ensures that all children feel included and can participate at their own comfort level.

I sprinkle creativity throughout each session, balancing structured activities with space for self-expression. Little yogabuds sessions focus on expression and creativity, whilst the older yogabuds sessions delve a little more into yoga philosophy and sequences.  At Yogabuds, I create a sanctuary where children can pause, breathe, and reconnect.

When children learn to tune into their bodies and emotions at an early age, they develop lifelong skills for self-regulation and emotional intelligence. These foundational tools become their anchors in an increasingly complex world, giving them the confidence to navigate their experiences with curiosity rather than anxiety. My approach combines the gentle nurturing every child needs with the playful energy that keeps them engaged and excited to return.

Benefits for Your Child

Through our Yogabuds sessions, children develop:

  • Physical strength, balance, and flexibility

  • Emotional awareness and self-regulation skills

  • Confidence and positive self-image

  • Concentration and mindfulness techniques

  • Respect for themselves, others, and nature

  • Social skills through shared experiences

Join our Yogabuds community today and watch your little one blossom as they breathe, stretch, and smile their way to greater confidence and calm. Together, we'll create a foundation of wellbeing practices that can support them throughout their lives.
